How do I obtain a copy of an accident report? Back
Accident reports can be obtained from the Fitchburg Police Department Records Bureau. You can stop by our department, or call. Click here to go to the Records Bureau page.
What should I do if I am involved in a traffic accident? Back
If the accident results in injury or death, if damage to state or other government-owned property exceeds $200, or if total damage to the property of one person or a state or government owned vehicle exceeds $1,000, you must report the incident immediately to the police.
Otherwise, you must exchange names, addresses, and license numbers with the driver and/or occupants of the vehicle struck.
How do I get a warning ticket signed off? Back
Contact any Fitchburg Police Officer, or come to the Fitchburg Police Department. Otherwise, any sworn law enforcement officer in the State of Wisconsin may sign the warning.
