How long does my child need to be missing before I can make a report?
How do I report my son/daughter missing? Back
Contact the police as soon as you realize your child is missing. In cases involving abduction, the first several hours are critical. When you call, an officer will respond to your residence and complete a Missing Person/Runaway form. You will be asked for a physical description of your child, clothing description, names of friends/acquaintances, etc. If you have a photo of your child, or a KidCareID, you can provide that to the police.
