Comprehensive Park, Open Space, & Recreation Plan 2010-2015
Like many plans, this plan sets forth goals, objectives, and policies for developing and improving Fitchburg's park and open space system and protecting the community's valued resources. The plan also provides short-term (next 5 years) and long-term recommendations for achieving those goals and objectives. Having an up-to-date park and open space plan is necessary for a city to be eligible for county, state, and federal grants.
Plan Adopted!
The Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department just completed the City’s park and open space plan for 2010-2015. The plan was adopted by the Park Commission and Common Council in January of 2010. Fitchburg's residents also had a role in the process for developing the Comprehensive Park, Open Space, and Recreation Plan.
