The Fitchburg Police Department has an authorized staff of 44 sworn officers and 12 civilian employees, providing 24-hour police protection and services to the City of Fitchburg.  Our department is located in a state-of-the-art facility and is equipped with the most modern technologies, and a 24-hour communications center.  Upon employment with our department, new recruits participate in a comprehensive 14-week Field Training Program that will prepare them for solo patrol.
