Federal Trade Commission - Bureau of Consumer Protection
Federal office charged with protecting consumers from fraud. Practical information on a variety of consumer topics including automobiles, computers, credit and loans, health, ID theft, telemarketing services and more. Consumers can also file complaints with the FTC.

Personal Finance

Kiplinger - Personal finance advice and business forecasts. Includes online tools, reports and guides in the areas of investing, taxes, insurance, personal finance, retirement, and small business.

Morningstar - Mutual fund database with information on 8,000 funds available to U.S. and international investors. Includes performance data, risk measures, fees and expenses, management bios, investment advice, etc.
